The England team presented with the trophy and all of the team pose happily in front of the cameras.
Cook: 'It was a hard fought series. We look forward to the Test series. We have good support from the fans. As a team, we truly appreciate it. We can take a lot of momentum for the Champions Trophy thanks to this win. The guys have done very well and I cannot ask anything else from the guys.'
Brendon McCullum: 'I would like to thank National Bank for supporting the cricket. We have worked hard but we could not capitalize on the chances. Cook and England showed us how to step up to the big moments and a big congratulations to them. A big thanks to the fans for supporting us and we will look to bounce back for the Test series'.
Finn: 'We were a bit rusty in the first game. However, the players stepped up to the plate for the remaining two games. It is a pleasure to bowl along side Anderson. We have to take wickets in the first 10 overs to put pressure on the opposition. I am enjoying myself on this tour. The straight boundaries are short and it was important to maintain a decent length. The short run-up is good and it is not affecting my pace.'
England have dominated the whole match. After the bowlers put up a clinical performance, the batsmen played with a lot of maturity. Ian Bell started off well but fell in the pursuit of quick runs. Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott shared a steady 67 run stand before Tim Southee sent both Trott and Cook back. Eoin Morgan batted aggressively to get England closer to the target, before Joe Root scored the winning runs. For New Zealand, only Southee and Andrew Ellis bowled well but the rest of the bowling lacked penetration. Thus, England win the series 2-1 and register a bilateral ODI series win over New Zealand (Maximum 3 ODIs) after a gap of 21 years.
